As Afterimage's credits start to roll, the inevitable becomes a reality: this is the last time we will see Andrzej Wajda's name on a new film. His final cinematic outing could not be a more beautiful and courageous artistic statement, though, which makes it a little more bearable.

Greeting fans, presenting awards or goofing off backstage, Jimmy Fallon has been a constant presence at the Golden Globes. We're delighted to have him back, this time as the host of the 74th Golden Globe Awards!.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has announced the awards timetable for the “74th.

Peter Shaffer, Golden Globe winner for Amadeus, is dead at 90. Shaffer, a leading British playwright who collected a Golden Globe for the screen adaptation of his play Amadeus, died in County Cork, Ireland where he traveled to celebrate his 90th birthday.

Theresa Saldana, Golden Globe nominee in 1994 for her supporting role in the TV series The Commish, has died, age 61. A Brooklyn-born child actress, Saldana broke out 20 some years earlier playing the sister of Golden Globe winner Robert de Niro's boxer Jack La Motta in director Martin Scorsese’s 1980 drama Raging Bull (seven Golden Globe nominations).

Lorenzo Soria has been re-elected President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the 2016-2017 year. This will be Soria’s fourth term in office, following his tenure in 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2015-2016.

As part of its commitment to clarity and transparency, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has published a new, revised edition of rules and regulations for the Golden Globe Awards. The new document, valid immediately, is yet another step in an ongoing process of revising and refining the requirements and qualifications for the Globes.

"If I do have some period in which I know some power or money, I will watch out that it does not corrupt me", Francis Ford Coppola told us in December of 1990, when the last installment on his extraordinary Godfather trilogy was being released. Nominated seven times for Golden Globes in the writer and director categories - for The Godfather Part II, The Conversation, Apocalypse Now, The Cotton Club and The Godfather Part III - Coppola won three times: in 1973, for best director and best screenplay, for The Godfather.

Patty Duke, multi-talented actor who had a long and sometimes troubled career has died. She was nominated four times for a Golden Globe award and won twice -- as Most Promising Newcomer-Female in 1962, for her supporting role in The Miracle Worker, and in 1969 as Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Motion Picture for Me, Natalie.
