HFPA President

Following its by-laws, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has named Ali Sar President of the HFPA, replacing recently deceased Lorenzo Soria. Sar has held a number of positions with the HFPA during his over 35-year membership, most recently serving as vice president under Soria.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association members have re-elected president Meher Tatna for a second mandate. Tatna, who oversaw the successful 75th edition of the Golden Globes, ran unopposed.

Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot joined Indian-born Meher Tatna, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, for a conversation at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.   Both women discussed their respective career journeys, the significance of being a role model in today’s society and provided sound advice for audience members.

Meher Tatna has been elected president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for the 2017-2018 year at the organization’s annual election meeting. Tatna succeeds outgoing president Lorenzo Soria.

A past president of the HFPA, Helmut Voss has died after a long illness. Helmut, who was president from 1998-2000, was instrumental in the HFPA purchasing their present building on South Robertson in West Hollywood.
