Washington Post reporter and CNN contributor, American-Iranian Jason Rezaian was The Post’s correspondent in Tehran from 2012 to 2016.  He was jailed by the Iranian government in 2014 and charged with espionage.

A Filipina investigative reporter and founder of the Manila-based news site Rappler, Maria Ressa has previously worked with CNN and ABS-CBN. For many years Ressa focused on terrorism in Southeast Asia.

Dutch journalist Jan-Albert Hootsen has been working as a freelance out of Mexico City since 2009. Hootsen reports on national affairs and cultural and socio-economic issues for various Dutch and American media and is the Mexico Representative for the Committee to Protect Journalists.
