As an association of journalists which includes many freelance reporters and entertainment journalists, HFPA members are well cognizant of the seismic changes the profession has undergone in recent years. As traditional business models and revenue streams have been called into question by the mergence of the internet and digital media, newsrooms have been decimated in the US and the world over.

Another outstanding awards night for our nominated members in the 61st Southern California Journalism Awards, Foreign Correspondents, category: Entertainment News or Feature, resulting in:2nd Place: Barbara Gasser, Maxima, “Cultural Revolution - Hollywood after Weinstein”3rd Place: Adam Tanswell, SciFiNow, “Avengers Set Visit”The 1st place winner in this category was Hugo Daniel, The Mail on Sunday, 'Tina turned her back on me'. The 61st Southern California Journalism Awards was presented by the Los Angeles Press Club and held at the legendary Millennium Biltmore Hotel Downtown Los Angeles.

Three members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association were recognized for their achievements at the 59th Southern California Journalism Awards at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles Sunday night. Adam Tanswell won second place in the Entertainment News or Feature category for his story The X-Files Reborn.
