This weekend Justice League started its global run with a bit less oomph than expected while Lionsgate’s underdog tale Wonder amazed as counterprogramming and surprised industry analysts with its impressive start. Warner Bros.

Based on the New York Times bestseller, Wonder tells the inspiring story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences, previously home schooled by his attentive mother (played by Julia Roberts) who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. HFPA member Lena Basse spoke with the films stars Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay (the young star of Room) who takes on the physical transformation to play the central character of Augie.
