Halle Berry won a Golden Globe in 2000 as Best Actress in a Motion Picture Made for Television for Introducing Dorothy Dandridge directed by Martha Coolidge. Later that year she won an Emmy for the same outstanding performance.

Jeremy Irons, twice Golden Globe winner, recently played Adam Driver’s father in House of Gucci (2021) directed by Ridley Scott. He was nominated as best actor for The Mission (1986) directed by Roland Joffé from a screenplay by Robert Bolt, produced by David Puttman and Fernando Ghia, score by Ennio Morricone.

In 2021, a difficult year for the arts, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had the pleasure of highlighting an extraordinarily diverse batch of works and honoring the new entries in the Winners Circle of 2022.

Her co-star, Hannah Einbinder, also received a nomination in the same category.

Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, along with Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, led all nominations for the 79th Golden Globe Awards with a total of seven. In the end, Campion’s film took home the big award of the night winning Best Motion Picture – Drama, in addition to winning Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for Kodi Smit-McPhee and Best Director for Campion.

Succession, an HBO series, was a big winner at the Golden Globes this year. Not only did it win for Best Television Series - Drama, co-stars Sarah Snook and Jeremy Strong also won the Golden Globe for their portrayals of sister and brother Shiv and Kendall Roy in the Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor categories.
