24: Legacy
An iconic series of the 2000s – 24 introduced the irresistible format of real-time narration with each episode corresponding to one in a 24 hour-cycle. The 192 episodes (2001 – 2010) racked up 12 Golden Globe nominations including a win as Best Drama Series (2004) and a Best Actor Globe for Kiefer Sutherland’s work as Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer. The longest espionage/antiterrorism themed series in TV history, it was reprised in 2014 with the “limited event” 24: Live Another Day. Now 24: Legacy reboots the show again, keeping to the 24-hour time format but with different characters, including Miranda Otto as Rebecca Ingram, a former CTU chief who is drawn back into operations when a terrorist organization threatens a special unit on U.S. soil. The HFPA’s Jenny Cooney asked the actress about the show.
