Not one but three Belgian films and their filmmakers scored big at this year’s festival. At the closing night ceremony last Saturday, the Grand Prix was awarded to Lukas Dhont for Close, the Jury Prize went to Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch for Le Otto Montagne and veterans Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne received the special 75th Anniversary Prize for Tori et Lokita. HFPA-journalist Greet Ramaekers spoke with the winners.
