BLACK HISTORY – Ving Rhames (1998): An Act of Tremendous Generosity
Who gives away his award to a fellow nominee? Only a man with the biggest heart. In one of the most iconic moments in live television, Ving Rhames, the 1998 winner for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television for playing Don King, did just that and handed his Golden Globe to Jack Lemmon. Watch the audience reaction! And FYI, the HFPA sent Mr. Rhames a replacement, of course.
