Blunt Talk with Sir Patrick Stewart

Last season, Blunt Talk, created by Jonathan Ames and executive produced by Seth McFarlane made a splash on Starz on account of protagonist Walter Blunt’s (Patrick Stewart) on-screen excesses. And Stewart received a Best Actor nomination for that role. In the world of network news-inspired series, the show ranks as The Newsroom’s (very) ill-behaved cousin, chronicling the British news anchor’s misdeeds in pursuit of American celebrity. The second season promises much of the same but also, as Sir Patrick told us himself, a more topical Chinatown-like plotline about water conspiracy in California. Here’s what else the three-time Globe nominee had to say.
