The third remake of the well-worn showbiz tale A Star is Born marks the directorial debut of Bradley Cooper and the feature film debut Lady Gaga. Cooper stars as country musician Jackson Maine who mentors and falls in love with struggling singer Ally (played by Lady Gaga), but as her star rises, his diminishes as he struggles with his own addiction issues. Many of the concert scenes were set in familiar surroundings including the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles where the premiere of the film was held.

HFPA members Katherine Tulich and Mirai Konishi spoke to the stars of the film on the red carpet of the Los Angeles premiere.
