Dakota Johnson, Alison Brie, Leslie Mann and Rebel Wilson are young New York women trying to navigate the perilous waters of modern love in How To Be Single, which is produced by Drew Barrymore and has the hallmark breeziness of other romantic comedies Barrymore has been associated with (like He’s Just Not That Into You). Helmed by German director Christian Ditter the rom com follows Robin (Rebel Wilson) as the liberated, happy-go-lucky party girl that tutors timid prude Alice (Dakota Johnson) in the art and science of dating, hooking-up and finding one’s true self as a young woman. We spoke to Rebel and Dakota about the film and the messages it wants to convey.
