After almost five years, Fifty Shades Freed is set to bring to a close the trilogy based on the E. L.James’ novels. Fans will be able to witness the conclusion (or the “climax” as the cheeky ad campaign has it) of Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia’s (Dakota Johnson) erotic romance. James Foley returns as director of this third installment which will seek to add to its predecessors’ $952 million global box office take, a number which makes the series an undeniable commercial success even as it has fared considerably less well in its critical reception. The HFPA’s Scott Orlin and Katherine Tulich asked Dornan and Johnson to look back on their characters’ and their personal journey as the final chapter comes to close.
