In 2015 a delegation of HFPA journalists were lucky enough to travel to England to visit the set of Downton Abbey and tour the iconic Highclere Castle that serves as the manor around which revolved the plots of the immensely popular, Golden Globe-winning drama. The stunning Jacobethan manor in Hampshire was every bit as majestic in person as it appears on film. We were on the grounds and had the privilege of speaking about the show – and the manor – to members of the principal cast: Allen Leech (Tom Branson), Rob James-Collier (Thomas), Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes), Leslie Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) and Sophie McShera (Daisy).
