He became world-famous as the sixth and latest James Bond, but this Cheshire-born thespian had already made a name for himself as a classically trained stage actor since he was 14 years old, and had starred in critically acclaimed films like Steven Spielberg‘s Munich. He happens to be the first actor to play James Bond who was born after the franchise began. Lately he has turned in subsequent iconic performances for the quirky detective Benoit Blanc in the Knives Out -series, and was nominated for Golden Globes for both films. Today is his 55th birthday.
