The Australian actress was actually born on June 20, 1967, in Honolulu while her parents were there temporarily on educational visas. Kidman grew up in Sydney and began her acting career as a teenager in Australian TV shows and films, making her US debut opposite Sam Neill in 1989’s Dead Calm. Her international career soon catapulted with roles in Days of Thunder, Batman Forever, and Far and Away, winning an Academy Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours. Her TV roles include Big Little Lies, The Undoing, and Nine Perfect Strangers. A winner of six Golden Globes, Nicole Kidman has always shined on the glamorous Globes red carpet.
