The CBS comedy Angel From Hell centered on a less-than-angelic guardian angel, and as it sometimes happened ended up relegated to cancellation Hell by the network Gods. The show featured Jane Lynch as Amy an unconventional angel who appeared in the life of her protegee, a busy doctor – resembling more an eccentric aunt than a heavenly creature. Despite her hard-drinking, foul-mouthed, world-weary ways she eventually managed to win over the trust of her disbelieving ward becoming a life coach of sorts to the harried thirty-something. Before teh show was cancelled this month Lynch stopped by to talk to the HFPA and we asked her about it.
