As one of the first drama series released by the new Apple TV+ streaming platform, The Morning Show stars some of Hollywood’s biggest names: Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell. The show deals with issues like feminism and sexual assault in the workplace. Aniston plays Alex Levy, a popular anchor of a highly rated television program The Morning Show. When her partner on the show gets fired amidst a sexual misconduct scandal, Alex has to fight to keep her job. After Levy recruits field reporter Bradley Jackson, played by Witherspoon, the two have to work together to get their voices heard and respected. HFPA member Katherine Tulich had a chat with Aniston and Witherspoon who talked about how the #MeToo Movement influenced the series.
