Katie Holmes has been impressing critics with her recurring role as Paige Finley on Ray Donovan, and is set to play Jackie Kennedy in the upcoming miniseries After Camelot. But for all the TV work, she hasn’t neglected film, even making her debut behind the camera as director and star of the upcoming indie drama All We Had.

In Touched With Fire Katie plays Carla, a manic depressive woman who meets an equally affected soul mate – manic poet Marco – in a psychiatric hospital. Directed by Paul Dalio the film is an honest portrayal of the trials of bipolar disorder, a condition so often suspended between the ecstasy of inspiration and the depth of despair. We asked her about it when she stopped by to talk to us about her latest projects.
