Liev Shreiber and Jon Voight on being “Donovan”

Measured in fan loyalty and critical praise, Ray Donovan, now in its fifth season, is arguably Showtime’s biggest hit ever. Ann Biderman’s superbly written drama is moody and hard boiled in a contemporary way and benefits from a cast led by Liev Schreiber who has garnered four Golden Globe nominations for his title role. Jon Voight who plays Ray’s troubled father and Donovan patriarch Mickey, won his fourth career Globe for bringing that character to life. The HFPA’s Jenny Cooney and Herve Tropea spoke to both actors about their Donovan personas.
