Melissa McCarthy takes a dramatic turn playing real life author Lee Israel, who after a series of best-selling biographies fell on hard times and took drastic and illegal measures to make money by using her talents to forge letters from deceased writers like Dorothy Parker. Her partner in crime was the very flamboyant friend, Jack Hock (played by Richard E. Grant).  HFPA member Elisabeth Sereda sat done with the two stars for this report.
