Outlander, Starz’s swashbuckling, time-traveling historic fantasy romance was a worldwide hit in its first season, winning three Golden Globe nominations (Best Actress, Best Actor and Best TV Drama). Now the show is back for a second helping after having garnered legions of faithful followers around the globe. Adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s popular books, the series stars Caitriona Balfe as World War Two nurse Claire Randall, who is sent back to 18^th century Scotland just in time to be swept up in the Scots’ struggle for liberation from England. Along the way she is also swept off her feet by a whirlwind romance with handsome Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). Historic and romantic turmoil intertwine as Claire is torn from her “modern day” relationship with Frank Randall (Golden Globe nominee Tobias Menzies).
