Actor Hervé Villechaize enjoyed enormous fame as the henchman in 1974’s Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun, and as the sidekick Tattoo in the popular Fantasy Island  TV show. But then the work dried up and the attention faded. That’s when British journalist Sacha Gervasi met the actor for a “Where are they Now” story only to find there was so much more beyond the headlines. Now, Gervasi has turned those conversations into the HBO drama My Dinner with Hervé, with Jamie Dornan playing the journalist and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage playing Villechaize. For this report, HFPA members Mirai Konishi and Margaret Gardner spoke to Dinklage about his transformation into the role.
