Robert Kirkman On Branching Out From Successful Zombies to Outcast’s Demons

In a little more than ten years Robert Kirkman has gone from cult figure in the indie comics scene to superstar of the horror fantasy nerd-dom. The latter status achieved of course as author of AMC’s Golden Globe nominated (and cable ratings winner) The Walking Dead. Last year the 37-year old Kentucky native added the spinoff Fear the Walking Dead to his executive producing credits. This year, just in case you thought he might be resting on his laurels, he added Showtime’s Southern-Gothic Demonic-Possession drama Outcast to his growing stable of shows. The HFPA’s Gabriel Lerman caught up with him at Comi-Con and asked him what it feels like to be one of TV’s hottest show runners.
