Renato Silveira is a journalist and film critic, member of Fipresci (International Federation of Film Critics) and Abraccine (Brazilian Film Critics Association), with a master’s degree in Film at the UFMG School of Fine Arts. He is editor-in-chief of the website Cinematório (cinematorio.com.br), where he conducts film analysis in text, video and podcast. He also works as film critic at EMC (public radio and TV network in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais) and has reviews and essays published in various magazines, books and film festivals catalogs, as well as being a member of Critics Juries at the main film festivals in Brazil. Throughout his professional career, he conducted interviews with great film artists such as David Lynch, Eduardo Coutinho, Jose Mojica Marins, Fernanda Montenegro, Helena Ignez, Alice Braga, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, Fernando Meirelles, Karim Aïnouz, Gabriel Martins, André Novais Oliveira, Robert Eggers, Adam Elliot, Behn Zeitlin, among others.
