Ali Farahmand is an author, film critic, film-studies lecturer and filmmaker. He has been writing film reviews and articles in the Iranian press for more than a decade, and teaching in film institutes and art universities. Since 2022, he has been a film critic at the Voice of America. In 2023, he founded an independent film studies school in Tehran called FCI (Film Criticism Institute).
