Andy Hazel is an entertainment journalist based in Melbourne, Australia and the editorial assistant at the national newspaper The Saturday Paper. A filmmaker, composer, actor and screenwriter, Andy has been an active member of the Australian film community since, as a teenager, he directed the music documentary “Acting Normal.” As a programmer he has worked at the Melbourne International Film Festival, and as a journalist, has reported from MIFF, Cannes, the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and Marrakech International Film Festivals. He is also a member of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards and the Australian Film Critics Association.
