Arianna Finos
Arianna Finos is a journalist inviata (specializing) in cinema for the Italian newspaper and website La Repubblica, where she covers international film festivals, interviews with directors and actors, and in-depth features on trends in the audiovisual industry. She also writes for Robinson, the newspaper’s Sunday culture supplement. She write with Chiara Ugolini the weekly newsletter The Dreamers, a space dedicated to film lovers, auteur visions, and stories that defy convention.
She makes video interviews for Repubblica and makes A cielo aperto, a format featuring long-form video conversations with leading figures of Italian and international cinema.
A law graduate with top honors, she later completed a journalism course at the AF Forum of Fashion and Television. After a long internship at Repubblica, she worked for over ten years at Radio Capital, first in news and later as head of the entertainment desk. There, she helped craft a daily narrative around film, television, and pop culture through original radio formats.
Her work continued at Repubblica TV, where she created and hosted a weekly film program. For a decade, she also contributed to il Venerdì di Repubblica’s film section, writing reports, interviews, and reflections on visual languages.
