Cassie Jo Panayis
Cassie Jo Panayis is an international entertainment journalist specializing in sustainability on screen. Her work appears in outlets including, but not limited to, SAPeople, The Celebrity Interviews and the Environmental Media Association, covering green production, climate-conscious storytelling and the future of sustainable filmmaking.
She has reported from major festivals including Cannes, the Berlinale, Series Mania and the Red Sea, as well as sustainability-focused events like BAFTA albert’s Climate Action in Filmmaking and Screen’s Global Production Awards.
Multilingual and globally based, having lived in Sydney, London, Paris, Madrid and Cape Town, Cassie Jo brings a cross-cultural lens shaped by her South African heritage and worldwide upbringing. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Paris and is also trained in sustainable production, climate communication and editorial strategy. She is the creator of @siyanascreens, a platform spotlighting international sustainable screen content followed by industry leaders like EMA, Good Energy and Earth Angel.
