Chafic Tabbara is a Lebanese film critic. He writes weekly for “Al Akhbar” newspaper in Lebanon and “Fasslah” in Saudi Arabia. He has contributed to various newspapers and magazines across the Arab region.

Since 2013, he has attended and covered Arab and international film festivals. He was the Co-Artistic Director of the 11th edition of the Norient Film Festival in Bern, Switzerland. He has served as a jury member at multiple local and international film festivals.

He is a jury member of the Arab Critic Award for European Films and the Arab Critic Awards for Arab Films. He is also an international film programmer for the Amman Film Festival – Awal Film. He is a member of FIPRESCI (the International Federation of Film Critics).

He has given several masterclasses and talks on film criticism in academic and cultural institutions across the World.
