Daniel Herculano is a member of the Brazilian Association of Film Critics (Abraccine, 2015) and the International Federation of Film Critics (Fipresci, 2018). He is an editor and film critic for Clube Cinema (www.clubecinema.com.br) and a host on Clube Cinema (TV Ceará). He is a curator and researcher for Classicline (www.classicline.com.br), a home video company (DVD and BDs), and founder and curator of @ClubeBoxBrasil. He specializes in cinema, comics, and literature.

He is one of the authors of the books “100 Best Brazilian Films,” “Brazilian Documentary: 100 Essential Films,” “Brazilian Animation: 100 Essential Films,” and “Brazilian Short Film: 100 Essential Films.” He was a member of the Fipresci Jury at Bafici (Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival, 2018). He was a member of the Abraccine Jury (Olhar de Cinema, Cine Ceará) and a voter for the Canal Brasil Award. A journalist and publicist, he has been writing about cinema since 1995, when he launched the Cinema & Vídeo column in the newspaper Meio Norte (PI/MA). He has worked for the newspapers O Povo (Vida & Arte) and Tribuna do Ceará, had a specialized cinema column on the radio stations Jangadeiro Band News FM and Beach Park FM, and has written special coverage for the newspapers O Globo and UOL.
