Danielle Kool

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Kool completed her MA in Communications at the University of Amsterdam, in 2001. After finishing her degree, she began working for the national daily newspaper, Metro, as a staff writer covering entertainment, news, and culture for over four years. She then held the title of Editor-in-Chief of Zone magazines, four weekly news and entertainment guides. She parlayed her writing skills and began working for a communications agency as an editorial manager. Returning to journalism in 2008, she took on the role of Managing Editor Entertainment of national newspaper Sp!ts and was promoted to Deputy Editor. In 2013, Kool relocated to Los Angeles where she continued to work for Sp!ts as well as other outlets in the Netherlands such as the national newspaper De Telegraaf, film magazine Preview, TV guides Veronica Superguide and Totaal TV and women’s magazine Grazia. Kool joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in the fall of 2020.
