Eirik Bull is a Norwegian film journalist and media critic specializing in science fiction, fantasy and fandom. A self-described film nerd, Eirik started writing film reviews for Letterboxd and, later, Cinema Norway. These days, Eirik works as the editor-in-chief and driving force behind one of Norway's most prominent film and streaming websites, Filmmagasinet. He is also a regular co-host on Filmmagasinet's Podcast. Eirik holds degrees in film production, marketing and brand management and has written several articles on the social mechanisms and psychology of media fandom. He is a member of The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and was a part of the FIPRESCI jury at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. He became an international voter for the Golden Globe Awards in 2022. Eirik is also a passionate JRR Tolkien and "Star Wars" fan and has often appeared in Norwegian media and podcasts (such as NRK P2 Studio 2, Yoda, Naida, så, and Jedirådet) to talk about these topics and more.
