Elaine Guerini has worked as a film critic and reporter for the last 25 years, covering the major film festivals around the world for Brazilian outlets, such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto and San Sebastián. Since 2001, she writes for the cultural supplement of Valor Econômico, the leading newspaper specialized in business & finance in Brazil. Elaine has published two books: “All in the Family” (2004), a biography of a Brazilian family of actors, and “Backstage” (2005), a collection of her interviews with world cinema personalities. She is the Brazilian correspondent for Screen International. As a FIPRESCI member, Elaine has attended several international film festivals and has served on festival juries in Busan, Palm Springs, Istanbul and Mar del Plata, among others.
