Fernanda Talarico
Fernanda Talarico is a reporter specialized in movies and TV series. Born in Brazil, she holds degrees in International Relations and Journalism and has over 10 years of experience in entertainment. She has worked for companies like Disney, Warner Bros., Rolling Stone, Folha de S.Paulo, Editora Globo, Jovem Nerd, JustWatch, MECA, BridgeheadMedia, and Canal Peewee. Currently, she is an entertainment reporter at UOL and the host of the horror movie podcast Não Apague a Luz (Don’t Turn Off the Light).
She served as a juror for Rolling Stone’s 2018 list of the 50 Best Brazilian Albums and has covered major pop culture events like CCXP Brazil, CCXP Mexico, and San Diego Comic-Con.
In 2020, she won third place in the Cásper Líbero Award (Journalism category) for her documentary “Antropofagia Marginal: A invenção no projeto estético do cinema da Boca do Lixo” (“Marginal Anthropophagy: Invention in the Aesthetic Project of Boca do Lixo Cinema”).
