Gini Brenner was born June 30. 1971, in Linz, Austria and is currently living in Vienna. She is married, with one daughter. College education: art history, Japanology, media science. Career in journalism: Joined SKIP, then Austria’s biggest film magazine, in 1993 and became chief editor from 2003 to 2018. She is freelancing for national and international magazines. Since 2023 she has been the film editor for Austrian newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten, regularly covering film festivals (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, etc.). Interests: Pop culture, storytelling, evolution of civilization.
