Juan Carlos Ugarelli
Film journalist and film critic. Graduated from the University of Lima and the Diploma in Digital Marketing from the University of Piura. Editor of the blog Las Horas Rojas, writer of Cinencuentro and co-host of Cinestesia el podcast. Member of Apreci – Peruvian Association of Film Press. He has been a press juror at the Lima Film Festival, the Al Este Film Festival, and the University of Lima Film Week, as well as a member of the Selection Committee for Peruvian films submitted for the Oscars and Goya Awards in 2017 and 2019. He is the author of the essay “Scorsese and Hollywood: The author and the industry,” which is part of the book “The cinema of Martin Scorsese: The American dream in chiaroscuro: Between violence and redemption.”
