Juan Pablo Salomon
Teacher, researcher, and extension worker at the Catholic University of Santiago del Estero, working in areas of knowledge related to social communication, audiovisual narrative, cultural studies, and other related subjects.
A filmmaker, critic, producer, and screenwriter, he has been involved in projects related to directing and producing for TV, multimedia, festivals, creative spaces, publishing, and various events for over 10 years. He also teaches, promotes, and curates.
He has served on the jury of various festivals and exhibitions, such as the de las Alturas Film Festival (2019), GRABA Mendoza (2021), Tucumán Cine (2023), and FICPBA (2023); he has also collaborated on the ‘SURVEY ON ARGENTINE CINEMA’ organized by the magazines La Vida Útil, Taipei, and La Tierra Quema (Mar del Plata, 2022); and he has also contributed to the book ‘Regional Cinemas at the Crossroads. A Panorama of Argentine Cinema from a Decentralized Approach’ (Cuarterolo, Flores, Lusnich, Eudeba, 2022), among other contributions.
Member of the Argentine Film Critics Association; producer and panelist on the specialized stream ESTUDIO CINE; content director of the MONTÓN stream; co-director and programmer of the SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO FILM FEST since 2017.
