Karsten Kastelan has been a correspondent for a variety of news outlets since the tender age of 20, including The Hollywood Reporter, Screen International, Moving Pictures, Die Welt and Die Rheinpfalz, among many others. He is also a co-managing director of the Federal Association of Media Journalists (BVMJ) and has served as a jury member in Dubai, London, Munich, Palm Springs, Cairo, El Gouna, Alexandria and Dresden. He is based in Berlin, Germany.
