I was born in 1989 in Belarus, and have been involved in the cinema industry in a variety of capacities since 2007. My activities have included festival programming (Cinema Perpetuum Mobile Short Film Festival mostly), being on the jury at various film festivals (for example, the Listapad Film Festival), and acting. However, my most serious involvement by far has been as a film critic for various outlets and being an editor for Cineticle. Currently, these activities are my only involvement with the local film industry as it's been dismantled by the authorities after the protests in 2020 and has since become state-run, with little space for independent voices. I'm also a FIPRESCI member.
