María Fernanda Mugica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated as a directing major from Universidad del Cine. After working in independent films and film festivals, she obtained a masters in journalism from Diario La Nación and Universidad Di Tella. Since 2007 she has been writing film and TV articles and reviews in the entertainment section of La Nación and in the newspaper’s Sunday magazine, La Nación Revista. She co-wrote a book about romantic comedies, “Amar como en el cine: Comedias románticas de ayer y de hoy,” published by Paidós, in 2017. Currently, she is also working as a programmer for Mar del Plata International Film Festival.
