Pedro Paunero was born in Mexico in 1973. He is a film critic with a career spanning almost twenty years. He has co-written the books “Dos amantes furtivos. Cine y teatro mexicanos” (“Two Furtive Lovers. Mexican Cinema and Theater”) and “Disertaciones Psicoanalíticas sobre Cine y Violencia” (“Psychoanalytic Dissertations on Cinema and Violence”). He writes for the portals Correcamara from Mexico, Escribiendocine from Argentina, Noticine from Spain and his reviews appear on Rotten Tomatoes in the United States, the magazine Cine Toma and the Gazette of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He has taught film courses and workshops for the University of London in Mexico and has covered various international film festivals. He is a member of “Periodistas Iberoamericanos de Cine” (PIC: Ibero-American Film Journalists)
