Sachie Ima
Sachie Ima is a Tokyo-based freelance film and TV critic, writer, and editor who has devoted more than 25 years to the entertainment industry since 1998, following her experience as a magazine editor. Over the years, she has been a regular contributor to various publications, including Nikkei Entertainment!, Courier Japon, BAILA, and Novel Subaru. Additionally, she has provided content for movie programs sold at theaters and media outlets such as ELLE JAPON and Nikkei Cross Trend. She has interviewed numerous directors, actors, producers, and executives in the entertainment industry. Since 2000, she has closely followed the U.S. TV industry and authored “A 10-Year History of Overseas TV Drama”. In collaboration, she has also served as an editor for the translation of “The Greatest Movies You’ll Never See”. She holds a B.A. degree in Modern and Contemporary Western History from Tokyo Women’s University and pursued studies in film production at the night school of Tokyo Visual Arts, a technical college.
