Yair Hochner

Yair Hochner has worked since 2002 at the Seret cinema news website as main film critic and the editor of the reviews section. He has also collaborated as a journalist with the Cinémathèque Magazine and Camera Obscura journal. He’s the founder and director of the TLVFest – Tel Aviv LGBTQ+ International Film Festival from 2006. In 2005 he wrote and directed “Good Boys” and in 2008 he wrote and directed “Antarctica.” He’s one of the producer and directors of the collective project “Fucking Different Tel Aviv,” an official selection at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival. These days he focuses on his work writing film reviews on the Seret website and managing the festival he founded to promote LGBTQ rights, tolerance, liberalism, pluralism and social justice in Israel.
