Yishai Kiczales was born in Jerusalem, raised in New Jersey and is currently residing in Zurich, Switzerland. He has been writing about movies since 1999, first in local weeklies in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and later on for leading Israeli dailies and top internet sites. Since 2011, he has filled the position of chief film critic and features writer for Israel Hayom, Israel's most widely distributed daily newspaper, where his duties include writing reviews on all new releases, reporting on important developments in the world of film, interviewing directors and actors and attending festivals worldwide. He is married with two children.
