Larry Karaszewski

Two-time Golden Globe winner Larry Karaszewski was born on November 20, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana. A very versatile screenwriter, together with his colleague and friend Scott Alexander started out by writing children’s films such as Problem Child (1990) and Problem Child 2 (1991). During the course of his career, he and Alexander worked on projects of very different depths, collaborating with great directors such as Milos Forman and Tim Burton. They wrote The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996), thanks to which they won their first Golden Globe (with Scott Alexander) and Man on the Moon (1999), Ed Wood (1994) and Big Eyes (2014). Always with Alexander he wrote the screenplays of Goosebumps (2015) and Dolemite Is My Name (2019).

In television they are the creators and producers of the anthology true crime series American Crime Story (2016 – ongoing), winning their second Golden Globe for the first season based on the O.J. Simpson case.
