Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story continues the American true crime anthology series that premiered in 2018. This season, screening on the USA Network, tells the saga of convicted murderer Betty Broderick (Amanda Peet) who shot her husband Daniel (Christian Slater) and his second wife to death in their bed while they slept in 1989. Betty asserted in her defense that she had been a battered wife for 16 years throughout her marriage.
