New Fashion Trend: Coffee, Men’s Fashion and Chinese Elegance

Emmanuelle Chriqui, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Meagan Good

Café au lait spills into late summer as a hue. Men’s fashion shows variety, and elegance makes a statement from China.

(c) Daisy Edgar-Jones was the star of the week with this retro La DobleJ trousers and asymmetrical top trimmed with turquoise feathers. The trousers are paired with stock black boots. The hair is simple.

(l) Emmanuelle Chriqui in a dropped waist, off-the-shoulder jersey knit with silver thread, the shimmer repeated in the Sarah Flint sandal.

(r) Meagan Good in a shoulder-baring, body-hugging dress. The headpiece is the exact shade as the dress and a stand-out. The sheer gloves first trending at Cannes this year.

Iyana Halley Isan Elba

Above (l) Iyana Halley – elegant in folds of copper. Her hair reflects the shape of the skirt from a narrow waist it flows fully but for a high slit. The hair in a top knot flowing down the back. The slash across the chest, intriguing but not revealing.

(r) Islan Elba, former Golden Globe Ambassador and daughter of Idris, tucked her jacket apart and back, revealing her tummy. The matching mini in the small print is gaining popularity as the summer unwinds. The socks and sandals – different. The hair, like Iyana’s, in a top knot pony.

Thomas Doherty, Jamie Foxx, Kier Gaines

Above,  three different and effective fashion statements for men.

(l) Thomas Doherty (Dior). Shirtless (another Cannes trend this one, from Timothée Chalamet) with the extra panel closure, left open and uneven.

(c) Jamie Foxx. The trousers: a statement. Paired with a black shirt and shoes they don’t overpower – they look fresh. If you try something a little adventurous make sure the rest of the items are toned down so the whole isn’t overwhelmed.

(r) Kier Gaines in a gold-embossed tunic popular in Africa and the Middle East. It’s an elegant look and works best with like fabric and hued, skinny trousers.

 Leah Jeffries

Above: Leah Jeffries stuns in an ethnic-inspired traditional dress. Beast is set in Africa and the look pays homage to the culture. The hair and jewelry have the perfect finish. Brava!

Qi Xi Wang Junkai

(l) Qi Xi arrives at the red carpet of 2022 Beijing International Film Festival in a flapper-inspired gown. The inner panel appears sheer but isn’t; the contrast is a column that harkens to the physique beneath it.

(r) Wang Junkai adorned in broaches of varying hues and sizes – a nod to the trend. The closed shirt buttoned is high on point.

Diane Keaton

(Above) Diane Keaton is Diane Keaton. Classic: hat, skirt, glasses, wide belt. Ms. Keaton at the Los Angeles premiere of Mack & Rita.

(Below)  Saniyya Sidney – head to toe in Kate Spade New York carries a small tote to match the poplin belted Sabrina dress in flame scarlet. Note the ivory bridal buckle slingback pumps and the multi-earrings in white.  She attends the Variety 2022 Power of Young Hollywood celebration.

Saniyya Sidney Deng Xiaoci, actress Han Dantong and Wang Xuan

Deng Xiaoci, Han Dantong, and Wang Xuan arrive at the 2022 Beijing International Film Festival. Three looks, three statements. Left,  Deng Xiaoci is forward-footed in fashion with the jacket and neck detail. Han Dantong (c) is classic elegance and timelessness. Wang Xuan is modern.
