David Tupaz

Dressing celebrities for the red carpet is nothing new to David Tupaz. He has dressed some of Hollywood’s A-listers like Kristin Chenoweth, Mariel Hemingway, Martin Sheen, Lucy Liu, Natalie Cole, Kris Kardashian, Bruce Jenner, Lisa Rinna, William and Elizabeth Shatner, Allan and Tonya Thicke, David Foster, Tracie and Scott Hamilton, Bai Ling, Billy Zane, Christine Baranski, Sofia Milos of “CSI Miami” and Mitzi Kapture of “Baywatch.”
David was the go-to designer of several notable fashionistas in Los Angeles when it came to couture clothes. In 2010, he made the big move to Las Vegas, put up an atelier there, founded the Las Vegas Fashion Design Council (a pioneering achievement) and quickly established himself as one of the fashion gurus in the city that never sleeps. On the fashion trends for this year, David disclosed, “Spring 2014 is about transformative clothes. It’s about boiling down everything that was on the runways to the one thing (or 75-plus things) to buy next season that will instantly update a look. And the statements are simple: Try a longer skirt, one that hits midcalf or the upper ankle. Feel the power of flowers, whether they are rendered as South American embroideries or giant South Pacific hibiscus.
“Take cues from your favorite gallery and wear something artful. This season, there is fashion for every personality. But the statement of classic elegance surpasses any style trend! We will always be in awe with the radiance of dignified grace, especially on the red carpet.
“I am looking forward to see what Jennifer Lawrence or Amy Adams will wear! But then again, there is Cate Blanchett and Julia Roberts to watch as well.”
