Weiss Will Also Direct the Live Ceremony on Sunday, January 7, 2024

Today, the Golden Globes® announced that multi-Emmy Award®-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment (WCE) will serve as executive producing showrunners for the 81^st Golden Globe Awards, with Weiss also set to direct the live show on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Fresh from overseeing the most recent “Academy Awards®,” fourteen-time Emmy Award winner Weiss and nine-time Emmy Award winner Kirshner formed boutique production company WCE in 1999 and have since produced dozens of critically acclaimed live television specials. In addition to the Oscars, their credits include “The Primetime Emmy Awards,” Super Bowl Halftime Shows, “Tony Awards,” “Kennedy Center Honors,” and presidential inaugurations. Weiss has a longtime alliance with Dick Clark Productions serving as director for the “Academy of Country Music Awards,” “Dick Clark’s New Year Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” and “American Music Awards.”
